Lockdown No More

Earlier this afternoon, we were informed that the Enterprise has been released from security lockdown, and that we are free to operate as a ship in port. Captain Picard has not granted any shore leave -- since there are still a few social matters that need to be worked out -- but our communications blackout has been lifted, and we now have access to the local Federation database. I have already begun comparing our ship records to the local records, and I hope to report on any of the notable changes that I find.

As for our USS Enterprise database – which we have retained from our previous time, it is being downloaded – in full – to Starfleet Command, and they will begin assessing our past experiences, to determine how our knowledge might be of use to them, here, in this reality. As such, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Enterprise, at some point, assigned to recomplete missions that we have already completed in our previous time (i.e., like making first contact with the Adamoi, or visiting Iconia to rediscover the Iconian Gateway). We would certainly be the local experts on those locations, having already experienced them where we came from.

As far as our fleet status, I do not yet know how the Enterprise will regain a commission, that information is still in discussion, but at least we have our freedom back, and we are not being viewed with defensive caution. Starfleet Command understands our situation, they know of our travels, and they are already finding us to be a valuable asset.

What happens next is just a matter of time – pun intended.
