The evacuation of Deep Space 9 is complete. The orbital station is under full Bajoran control, with General Krim Aldos now in command. All former DS9 Federation personnel have been relocated to Enterprise Station, and all non-Federation, non-Bajoran personnel are on their way to the independent Nivoch III colony, eleven light years away.
The Bajorans have also, once again, demanded that Enterprise Station vacate the wormhole coordinates, and Captain Riker has, once again, refused. With the unplanned arrival of the formidable USS Ambassador (Ambassador-class), the Bajoran assault vessel has withdrawn from the wormhole, and left us in peace. A representative of the new Bajoran leadership has requested a diplomatic meeting with Captain Riker, here, aboard Enterprise Station, on Friday morning. Our continued presence at the wormhole is likely to be discussed at that time.
In other news, we have heard reports that Bajor’s beloved spiritual leader, Kai Opaka, was tragically caught in the crossfire of a militia engagement in the capital city of Ashalla. She died earlier this morning, plunging the Bajoran Vedek Assembly – the spiritual leadership of Bajor – into chaos and uncertainty. While a new government is forming on Bajor, the planet remains in upheaval, and is not a safe place for anyone to visit.
