The Return of the Aurora

We just had another change in plans. A few hours ago, as we were preparing to launch our custom-adapted probe (for a second time), the missing Pullman-class transport, Aurora, suddenly appeared in the atmosphere, and entered orbit. The vessel is undamaged, and contains all 35 crew, personnel, and civilians who originally went down to the planet five days ago. The transport was scanned for contaminants (none were found), and then brought into the Enterprise Main Shuttlebay. The passengers are currently being cleared by Doctor Pulaski and her medical teams, and undergoing incident debriefing.

I do not have any more information, at this time, about where the transport went during the last five days, or what the crew experienced, however, as soon as reports are released, I will share them here. In light of this reappearance, Captain Picard has shifted the search away from scans and atmospheric analysis, to interviews and survivor insight. We’ll see where that leads in terms of the five vessels that remain missing.
