A Civilian Mission Into Klingon Space

The Enterprise has arrived at the edge of Klingon space. We dropped out of warp within the past hour. Since we cannot waltz into Klingon space with a heavily-armed Starfleet vessel (just as the Klingons cannot do the same with an Imperial warship in Federation space), Captain Picard has requested that I take my Danube-class runabout, the SS Terra Nova, the rest of the way. The Terra Nova is under civilian registry, and does not have the same political restrictions as a Starfleet ship. A mission crew of four personnel (not including myself) have been assigned to the Terra Nova. I am under orders to take them where they need to go.

The Terra Nova will be leaving the Enterprise shortly. We have already prepped the runabout while the Enterprise was underway. We are supplied and ready to launch. I have just enough time to post this, before reporting to Shuttlebay 3.

Since I will be gone from the Enterprise for a while (one week, perhaps two), and this is a mission of interest, a scaled-down version of our PAO (Facebook) communications system has been installed aboard the Terra Nova. This will allow me to report on our search mission -- from the Terra Nova. If you would like to follow along with my mission reports – while I am aboard the runabout Terra Nova – you can do so from my personal Facebook page.

The USS Enterprise-D will remain stationed outside Klingon space while we are away. They will conduct standard operations while they await our return.

We will do our best to find Lieutenant Worf Rozhenko, and bring him back home.
