As far as our next mission, it isn’t so much a mission as it is a side-trip. Captain Picard has decided to visit the nearby Briar Patch, to both run a few scans of the region, as well as to see the Patch in person. The nearest perimeter of the Briar Patch is only five light years from the Barzan Wormhole. We will arrive there sometime tomorrow.
Due to the dangerous nature of the gas cloud, we will not be entering within it, but merely observing from the outside. We are not currently outfitted to travel within the Briar Patch.
It is likely that we will spend a few days at the Briar Patch, taking in the view, before returning to a nearby Starfleet port for resupply, and to obtain official orders.
