The Pending Arrival of Deep Space 5

A commship, from Earth, dropped out of warp this afternoon. Among its deliveries came news that Deep Space 5 should be on its way to Barzan, and will arrive here on Wednesday. At that point, we will pass off defense of this wormhole to its intended administrative facility, and the Enterprise can prepare for a new mission.

Short-distance shuttle missions, through the wormhole, will continue until the arrival of DS5, however, I doubt further clearance will be given for any additional Enterprise runabout missions. We’ve gathered as much exploratory data as time allows; subsequent forays into the Gamma Quadrant will likely fall to the crew and personnel of Deep Space 5.
