While I usually spend my quiet time in the empty Public Affairs Lounge on deck 2, there’s still something comforting about sitting in Ten Forward (on deck 10), enjoying a beverage or a snack from the nearby kitchen, and watching the crew come and go.
Contrary to popular belief, Ten Forward is actually open 24 hours a day, and there are always wait staff available (the lounge’s popular manager, Guinan, however, only works during daytime hours). During Gamma Shift and the later part of Beta Shift, the lights are dimmed to reflect the evening hours, and it brings in a whole new aura to the lounge that half of the crew don’t see.
