Happy First Contact Day!

Three hundred and two years ago, today, on April 5, 2063, Vulcan Captain Solkar, of the science vessel T'Plana Hath, landed near Bozeman, Montana on Earth. He and his crew did so after observing Zefram Cochrane break the warp barrier during his first test flight of the Phoenix.

This event marks the celebrated first contact between Vulcans and Humans.

Today, both the T'Plana Hath and the post-launch Phoenix are displayed in the Smithsonian Museum on Earth.
